Cookie Notice

Cookie categories, analytics tools, and how to manage your preferences.

This Cookie Notice explains how vCloud Choice Inc. ("vCloud Choice Inc.," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on the vCloud Choice Inc. website and related online services (collectively, the "Website"). It should be read together with our Privacy Notice (including disclosure of personal information) and Terms of Sale. By continuing to use the Website after being presented with cookie choices, you acknowledge the practices described in this Cookie Notice.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your computer, smartphone, tablet, or other device when you visit a website. Cookies allow a website to recognize your device, remember preferences, maintain session state, and understand how visitors interact with pages and features. Cookies cannot run programs or deliver viruses by themselves.

Similar technologies may also be used, including local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and scripts. For convenience, this Cookie Policy refers to all such technologies collectively as "cookies," unless a specific technology is identified.

2. Why We Use Cookies

vCloud Choice Inc. uses cookies to operate the Website securely and reliably, remember your preferences, improve performance, measure engagement, and, where permitted, analyze how visitors use our services. Cookies also help us provide a more consistent experience across pages and visits.

  • Enable core Website functions such as navigation, theme preference, and consent storage.
  • Remember cookie choices so that you are not repeatedly asked for the same permission.
  • Measure Website traffic, page views, and usage patterns through optional analytics tools.
  • Improve Website content, layout, performance, and user experience based on aggregated insights.
  • Support security, troubleshooting, and service integrity.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

We categorize cookies based on purpose and how necessary they are to operate the Website. Some cookies are required for basic functionality. Others are optional and are used only when you provide consent.

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Website to function properly. They enable features such as page navigation, security controls, storage of your cookie consent choice, and light or dark appearance preference so the page displays correctly. Because these cookies are required for core operations, they cannot be switched off through our Cookie Preference Center. You may still block cookies through your browser settings, but doing so may cause parts of the Website to stop working as intended.

3.2 Preference / Functional Cookies

These cookies remember choices you make so the Website can provide enhanced or more personal features — for example restoring scroll position when you navigate. Functional cookies are optional and remain off until you enable them in the Cookie Preference Center (or choose Allow All).

3.3 Analytics / Performance Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Website, which pages are visited most often, how users move through the site, and where technical issues may occur. We use Google Analytics for this purpose when you accept Performance cookies. Analytics cookies are optional and are not set or activated until you provide consent.

3.4 Advertising / Targeting Cookies

At this time, vCloud Choice Inc. does not load separate advertising network tags on the Website. The Preference Center still exposes a Targeting control that maps to Google Consent Mode advertising signals (`ad_storage`, `ad_user_data`, `ad_personalization`) so your choice is recorded. Those signals default to denied until you enable Targeting (or Allow All). If we introduce advertising cookies in the future, we will update this Cookie Notice.

5. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies

First-party cookies are set by vCloud Choice Inc. through the Website domain. Third-party cookies or scripts may be set by service providers that help us operate analytics or other functionality. Currently, optional analytics measurement is provided through Google Analytics using Measurement ID G-EKZ2QEY1BF.

Third-party providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and cookie practices. We encourage you to review Google's privacy and advertising/cookie information for additional details on how Google may process analytics data.

7. How to Manage or Delete Cookies

In addition to the Website cookie banner, most browsers allow you to refuse, delete, or manage cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking all cookies may affect Website functionality, including preference retention and consent memory.

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
  • Apple Safari: Preferences / Settings → Privacy
  • Opera: Settings → Privacy & security

You may also opt out of Google Analytics through Google's available opt-out tools where provided. For more information, visit https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

8. Cookies and Personal Data

Depending on how cookies are configured and what information is collected, cookie-related data may include identifiers, device information, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, pages visited, referring URLs, and interaction events. Where such information can identify you or be reasonably linked to you, it is treated as personal data under our Privacy Notice.

vCloud Choice Inc. does not sell personal information obtained through cookies, and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Optional analytics data (when you enable Performance cookies) is used only to understand Website performance and improve services. See Privacy Notice for full disclosure details.

9. Retention

Cookie retention depends on the type of cookie and the settings applied by the Website or the service provider. Session cookies expire when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until deleted. Consent and preference values stored locally remain until you clear them or until we introduce an updated consent version that requires a new choice.

Analytics cookies, when accepted, are retained according to Google Analytics configuration and Google's then-current product settings.

10. Updates to This Cookie Policy

vCloud Choice Inc. may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, legal requirements, Website features, or analytics practices. When we make material changes, we may update the effective date of this policy and, where appropriate, present a new consent request.

Your continued use of the Website after updates are posted constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Cookie Policy, except where additional consent is required by applicable law.
